Narrated Hudhaifa bin Al-Yaman (RadiAllahu Tala Anho):
The people used to ask Allah’s Prophet about the good but I used to ask him about the evil lest I should be overtaken by them.
So I said: O Allah’s Prophet! We were living in ignorance and in a worst atmosphere, then Allah brought to us this good (Islam), will there be any evil after this good?
He said: Yes.
I said: Will there be any good after that evil?
He replied: Yes, but it will be tainted. I asked: What will be its taint?
He replied: Some people who will guide others not according to my tradition? You will approve of some of their deeds and disapprove of some others.
I asked: Will there be any evil after that good?
The Prophet of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: People will invite as if they are standing on the door of hell and inviting to enter it. They will throw into it all such persons as whoever will accept their invitation.
Hudhaifa (RadiAllahu Tala Anho) said: O Prophet of Allah will you let me know something about their attributes and symbols?
Prophet Muhammad said (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam): They will be from amongst our nation and will speak in our language.
Hudhaifa (RadiAllahu Tala Anho) said: What should I do? If I survive up to that moment? Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: Stick to Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen and it’s Imam (Ameer).
Hudhaifa (RadiAllahu Tala Anho): What if there is neither Jamaat nor their Imam?
Prophet Muhammad replied (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam): Keep yourself away from all sects, even if you have to live upon roots of trees and you shall have to remain in this state till your death reached you. [Sahih Bukhari (kitab ul fiten) & Sahih Muslim (kitab ul emirate)]
1) A time can come when there is no Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen & their Imam, if Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen was to be present at all times then Prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) would have corrected his companion (RadiAllahu Tala Anho) ‘s inquiry by saying what are you talking about, the Jamaat and Imam will always be present.
2) If Jamaat-ul- Muslimeen & their Imam is not present stay away from all sects. Prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) excluded Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen from sects, meaning it is not a sect. The people inviting the Ummah at the doorstep of hell would be sects within the ummah.
3) This proves there is only room for one Jamaat in Islam that is the al-Jamaat “Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen”. 4) Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) told us about one Jamaat & one Imam, not many jamaats & many Imams (leaders).
5) If Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen means “Main Body of Muslims” or “The Whole Ummah” then where is their Imam, Prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said they would have an Imam. 6) If we are to translate Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen into ‘Group of Muslims’ then it still doesn’t prove the existence of various sects who employ various sectarian names instead of the name given by Allah ‘Muslim’.
Umm Atiya (RadiAllahu Tala Anha) narrated: We were commanded by the Prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) to go out for Eid and also to take along with us menstruating women, mature girls and virgins staying in Khidr (strict hijab). And that everyone should participate with Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen in Eid prayer but menstruating women should keep away from the praying place. [Sahih Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Eidein] Women were ordered to pray salat with Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, this means that at that time there was Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen consisting of the sahaba (RadiAllahu Tala Anhum). Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: Whoever leaves Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen even a size of palm, he removes the chain of Islam from his neck. [Tabrani Kabeer, 440/12, Sanad: Hassan]
Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: Whoever opposes Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen even the size of a palm, removes the chain of Islam from his neck. [Mustadrak Hakim, 1/117, Sanad: Sahih]
Prophet Muhammad (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: The heart of a true believer doesn’t deceive in three things:
1) Performing righteous deeds for Allah alone,
2) Obeying the Ameer,
3) And sticking to Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, surely their invitation and propagation is dominating on their opponents. [Mustadrak Hakim, 1/87, Sanad: Sahih]
We would like to ask people that is there any definite proof of any other Jamaat from Quran or Sunnah like Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen? |
